Like many of us, for many years I lived life in a way that was extremely busy, stressful and exhausting. I didn't realise it at the time, but I was on a steady path to complete depletion of my physical and mental wellbeing. I was exercising and working hard but didn't take enough time out to truly nurture and nourish myself. I hit rock bottom with a real fatigue that took me years to understand.

My struggle with stress, anxiety, low immunity, sluggish digestion and fatigue for years prompted my search for a natural approach to regain my health and wellbeing. It was during my yoga studies that my interest in Ayurveda was sparked. The combination of the two helped me to better understand myself and how to cultivate true vitality by nurturing a healthy body, mind and environment (and the importance of all three). Ayurveda promotes a commonsense and beautiful approach based on ancient wisdom honed and practiced for thousands of years. Ayurveda is so relevant in today's world, as a way of nurturing and nourishing ourselves in the face of our often crazy, whirlwind lives.

I loved it so much I quit my old career in Environmental Consulting and now work at The Mudita Institute & Health Clinic – a wonderful Ayurvedic Clinic in the Byron Shire town of Mullumbimby, NSW. I discovered an Ayurvedic tea recipe for rejuvenation on a trip to Nepal and India and started making it for myself. I noticed the lift it gave me as well as the increase in mental clarity so I started making it in the clinic. The staff and clients loved it so much I decided to work with our Ayurvedic Practitioner, Kester Marshall to develop a range of tisanes (herbal infusions, pronounced tea-zahn) that we could sell at the clinic. They not only taste delicious, but are packed full of wonderfully healing and rejuvenating organic herbs and spices designed to bring you back into balance. Every cup is like a big, warm hug.

The process of making the tisanes combines my passions for Ayurveda/wellbeing and environmental sustainability with my project management background. I've gathered together some wonderful Australian certified organic ingredients to create balanced blends with Kester. I have sourced Australian-made recycled packaging that is fully biodegradable. I blend all my tisanes myself in small batches to order from whole organic herbs and spices to ensure the freshest and most potent tisanes possible. Stay tuned for some new blends in the near future!

I truly hope you enjoy taking some time out for yourself each day to relax with one of my teas.

Much love,

Sarah xxx

** The tea boxes are printed using soy based inks, and all manufacturing waste is controlled and recycled

** All business cards are printed locally on recycled cardboard

** Printed material is kept to a minimum on recycled paper

** Our postage boxes are made from as much recovered waste material as possible - we are always looking for a more sustainable option
